Several companies are racing to slim down their foldable devices – not just in thickness, but also in weight. The vivo X Fold3 and X Fold5 were weighed on a scale by vivo exec Boxiao, and the new model is lighter.

What is the weight? Vivo X Fold5 will weigh less than the X Fold3, as no official number was given for the new model. According to leaked specs, the X Fold5 will measure 4.3mm when open and 9.33mm when closed. As for the X Fold3, it measures 4.7mm and 10.2mm, respectively. Several devices are thinner than that, such as the Oppo Find N5, which is 4.2mm/8.9mm, but weighs 229g. According to IceUniverse, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 will measure 4.2mm/8.9mm. Besides being thinner than the vivo, what will its weight be? At the moment, we don’t know.
