After Airtel launching the Airtel Xtreme smart TV Stick we now have Dish TV announcing the first Android-based HD Set Top Box and Voice-enabled Alexa Built-in smart kit with Dish SMRT Hub and Dish SMRT Kit.

Dish SMRT Hub

The new Dish SMRT Hub is an Android HD set-top box which runs on Android TV operating system by Google. The device runs on Android 9 Pie out of the box with access to Google Play Store and comes with Google Assitant and Alexa Voice support. The new offerings from Dish TV India will support all popular OTT platforms like Watcho, Amazon Prime Video, Zee5, Voot, ALTBalaji and YouTube etc.

One can even stream content wirelessly through Chromecast support and also comes with Dolby Audio. Further, one can download as many as games and play on the Set-top box without any lag. The new Dish SMRT Hub is an Android HD set-top box will work on any TV available. The Dish SMRT Hub cost Rs.3999/- for New users and Rs.2499 for existing subscribers.

Apart from that, Dish TV also unveiled its own version of Chromecast called the Dish SMRT Kit which comes with Alexa-powered remote control. The Dish SMRT Kit is nothing but a Wifi Dongle which comes with a Bluetooth and a sleek looking Alexa-enabled remote control, provides access to thousands of Alexa skills. Further, the Dish SMRT Kit also comes with popularĀ OTT Apps. The Dish SMRT Kit cost Rs.1199 for existing Dish TV consumer.
