A few days ago, a listing from a German retailer revealed alleged European pricing and battery downgrade for the standard Xiaomi 17 compared to its Chinese version. Now, a fresh leak is extending that story to the top-tier model in the lineup.

According to the new information, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is expected to launch globally alongside the regular 17 and will carry a price tag of €1,499 in the Eurozone. That figure is for the configuration with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

If this turns out to be accurate, Xiaomi isn’t changing much on the pricing front: the 17 Ultra would match the launch price of the 16 Ultra – and even the model before that – while keeping the same storage capacity as the 15 Ultra in its comparable trim.

Where Europe seems to be losing out is in battery capacity. The leak claims that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra heading to European markets will be equipped with a 6,000 mAh battery, noticeably smaller than the 6,800 mAh cell found in the Chinese variant. This aligns with what we’ve already seen rumoured for the non-Ultra Xiaomi 17, which is also expected to ship with a lower-capacity battery outside China.

Colour options for the international Xiaomi 17 Ultra reportedly include white, black, and green. The eye-catching purple finish that has been making the rounds in Chinese promotional materials reportedly won’t be available outside Xiaomi’s home market, at least at launch.
