Poco’s 2026 lineup is shaping up to be quite different from earlier expectations. After launching the Poco F8 Pro and Poco F8 Ultra ahead of schedule, the brand now appears to be reshuffling its remaining lineup.
A report from XiaomiTime, based on Mi code, claims several upcoming Redmi phones will launch globally as Poco devices. The Poco M8 5G is said to be a rebranded Redmi Note 15 5G, while the Poco M8 Pro 5G will reportedly be based on the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G. In the upper mid-range, the Poco X8 Pro is expected to correspond to the Redmi Turbo 5, and a new Poco X8 Pro Max is tipped to be a rebadged Redmi Turbo 5 Pro Max, which has yet to debut in China.
POCO X8 is missing:
Notably, the standard Poco X8 is missing. It has not appeared in the GSMA IMEI database, and the model—previously rumoured as a Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G rebrand—has reportedly been cancelled. This would mean the 2026 X8 series is reduced to just the Poco X8 Pro and Poco X8 Pro Max. The leak also mentions a special Iron Man Edition of the X8 Pro.
No POCO F8:
On the flagship side, the China-only Redmi K90 Pro Max and Redmi K90 are expected to launch globally as the Poco F8 Ultra and Poco F8 Pro. However, the report suggests there may be no standard Poco F8 at all, though it admits there is no concrete proof yet. This is especially interesting because earlier rumours indicated the F8 would be the only F8-series phone released in India, one of Poco’s key markets.
If accurate, these changes point to a leaner Poco lineup built primarily on Redmi rebrands, with a stronger focus on Pro and Ultra models and fewer entry-level or standard variants. For now, though, all of these details remain unconfirmed until Poco makes an official announcement.
