Nothing is preparing to leave its mark on the market for over-ear headphones. Now that the European price of the company’s first full-sized headphones, which are confirmed to launch on July 1 alongside the Nothing Phone (3), has been leaked, they could be a powerful alternative to more costly competitors.
Trusted leaker billbil-kun via Dealabs claims that the Nothing Headphone (1) will retail for €299 in Europe. They fall well short of high-end options like Apple’s AirPods Max (€509) and are comparable to Sony’s WH-1000XM5. Additionally, according to the leak, the headphones will be offered in black, grey, and white, and sales are anticipated to start on September 30.
The Headphone (1) is expected to retail for $299 in the United States, per an earlier leak. Back in May, Nothing gave a sneak peek at the headphones, highlighting their new design language and emphasis on intuitive controls. Instead of touch-sensitive surfaces, the Headphones (1) are suggested to have physical playback and volume buttons. This decision simplifies users ‘ recognition and control of the controls without guessing.
The business also alluded to excellent sound and a unique appearance, most likely adhering to Nothing’s open and straightforward design philosophy. Although official specs are still pending, their recent collaboration with British audio brand KEF also raises expectations for strong audio performance.
A few weeks remain, and excitement is growing. Should Nothing be able to provide the same design, functionality, and affordability as its Ear series, the Headphone (1) might emerge as a noteworthy choice in the high-end audio market, without the high cost.
