Nothing has formally introduced the Ear (3), its upcoming premium in-ear TWS earphones. The earphones have a new Super Mic feature, longer battery life, better sound quality, and an upgraded design with an aluminium housing.

The first item in the series that combines transparent design features with metal components is the Nothing Ear (3). A new Super Mic function, essentially a dual-mic system, has been added to the charging case, promising crisper calls.

Nothing claims that the Super Mic feature, which is triggered by pressing a new “Talk” button on the cover, may reduce noise levels by up to 95 dB. The native voice memo apps for iOS and Android can be used to capture voice notes in addition to calls.

Notably, each earbud has a bone-conduction voice pickup unit and a three-mic system for better calls. Additionally, it provides up to 45 dB of real-time adaptive noise cancellation.

The 12mm dynamic drivers included with the Nothing Ear (3) are said to produce a broader soundstage and deeper bass. The earbuds support Static Spatial Audio and AAC, SBC, and LDAC codecs. The TWS earbuds provide dual-connection capabilities and Bluetooth 5.4 for connectivity.

In-ear detection, a low-lag mode, Hi-Res certification, and an IP54 rating for the charging case and earphones are further features offered by the Ear (3).

The charging case has a 500 mAh cell, while the earbuds have a 55 mAh battery. The Ear (3) is said to last up to 5.5 hours while the ANC is on and 10 hours when it is not. The charging cover reportedly provides an extra 38 hours of battery life. The charging case also supports fast and wireless charging.

Pricing:

Sales of the Nothing Ear (3) will begin on September 25 and will be priced at $179/€179 in White and Black color variants.
