The launch of a new POCO M-series smartphone has been teased. In India, the company will launch the M6 Pro 5G as its new budget smartphone. Despite not disclosing the exact launch date of the M6 Pro 5G, POCO confirmed the launch of the phone in India. According to the latest teaser, the upcoming budget 5G smartphone will feature a simple design.

In the meantime, the company has officially revealed the design of the rear panel of the device. A dual-tone back is featured on the M6 Pro 5G. In the upper portion of the rear panel, there is a rectangular-shaped blacked-out area for the dual camera system and an LED flash. The POCO logo can be found in the top right corner of the screen. The phone is shown in its Cyan Blue/Green color option. On the left edge of the phone is also visible the SIM card tray.

There will be 5G support on the upcoming POCO M-series phone, as its name suggests. More details are expected from POCO in the near future. The M6 Pro 5G is reportedly being rebadged as the Redmi Note 12R from China and is scheduled to launch in India in the near future.

POCO M6 Pro features a 6.79-inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels (FHD+), 120Hz refresh rate, and 240Hz touch sampling rate.

POCO M6 Pro will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC coupled with 4GB/6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage. This may be one of the first phones with this processor.

Based on Android 13, it runs MIUI 14. On the rear, it features a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, it has a 5MP camera on the front.

It comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, an IR blaster, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Among its connectivity options are dual SIM, 5G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, GLONASS, A-GPS, and USB Type-C.

Additionally, the device features a 5,000mAh battery and support for 22.5W fast charging.
