Earlier this year, the vivo X80 and vivo X80 Pro arrived on the smartphone scene. Now, we’re looking at a third model in the X80 family. According to a trusted industry source, a new X-series device will launch in September. The vivo X80 Pro+ is the likely device to launch as it is not an iterative upgrade over the existing X80 models.

According to Counterpoint Research’s latest report, vivo reached second place in terms of market share (13%) in the premium smartphone segment in China for Q2 2022 after the X80 duo’s positive reception. It hopes to build upon the good reception of its X80 and X80 Pro phones with the upcoming X80 Pro+.
It is expected that the Vivo X80 Pro+ will be equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset as well as an upgraded camera system. The new X80 Pro+ may include Samsung’s 50MP ISOCELL JN1 (1/2.76 inch size, 0.64 mm pixel size) and 50MP ISOCELL JN2 (1/1.12 inch size, 1.4 mm pixel size) in addition to its 50MP main and 48MP ultrawide sensors.
