Apple teases next launch event as Scary Fast might announce the new M3 powered Mac’s.

Apple is confirmed to hold a new product event at the end of this month. During its second fall event of 2023, the Cupertino-based tech giant sent out invites. Macs are rumored to be arriving soon. The Apple Watch Series 9 and iPhone 15 series were introduced at Apple’s Wonderlust event last month.

The company has just announced that it will hold a launch event next Monday, October 30. Halloween is the day before, and the company couldn’t help but tie the two together: the event tagline is “Scary fast”.

This is what a very reliable source recently predicted for Apple’s next Mac-focused event in late October. Considering how fast the latest Macs are, we expect that we’ll all be scared.

You can see in the invite above that the event starts at 5:00 pm PT, which is 8:00 pm in New York, 1:00 am in London, 2:00 am in Paris and Berlin, and 5:30 am in India.

In fact, the ‘Scary Fast’ tagline implies new Macs with powerful hardware. There is also a possibility that it refers to the company’s new silicon. On the official website, an animation confirms their arrival with a macOS Finder icon. The official details about Apple’s upcoming devices should be revealed next Tuesday.

It is expected that Apple will release a refreshed 24″ iMac and a new MacBook Pro, most likely in two sizes (14″ and 16″). Apple’s M3 chip is likely to power the new computers, which is why “Scary fast” is appropriate.

OnePlus 12 will arrive with wireless charging support, camera specs leaked.

Every now and then, OnePlus’ next-gen flagship, the OnePlus 12, is leaked and rumored. Its key specifications and even high-quality renders have already been discussed. In China, the flagship is expected to launch in December, which is still a few months away. By the time it launches officially, we will probably see more leaks. New details have been revealed about the upcoming smartphone, correlating with previous reports.

According to Digital Chat Station, a well-known tipster on Weibo, the OnePlus 12 will come with USB 3.2 support. It will be an upgrade over USB-C 2.0 support on the current-generation OnePlus 11 5G. As a result, users will be able to read and write data at a faster rate, which is especially beneficial when moving large files.

The OnePlus 12 is also expected to offer 50W wireless charging. While the OnePlus 11 offers many premium flagship features, it lacks wireless charging. It’s something you don’t find on premium Android flagships, so OnePlus is doing something right.

Camera specs:

According to the tipster, the OnePlus 12 will feature a periscope telephoto camera. Yogesh Brar aka @heyitsyogesh also shared camera specs. In terms of its primary sensor, the OnePlus 12 is said to have a Sony IMX966 with an aperture of f/1.7, an 84-degree field of view, and a 23mm focal length. In addition to the Sony IMX581 wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, there will also be a 114-degree field of view and a 14mm focal length.

In addition to the first two cameras, a third OmniVision OV64B telephoto sensor would be used with a f/2.5 aperture and a 33-degree field of view. There is a 3X optical zoom, a 6X in-sensor zoom, and a 120X digital zoom. Compared with its predecessor, which could only offer a 2X optical zoom, this is a major upgrade. As reported previously, the leaked camera specifications are in line with what we have seen so far.

According to reports, the OnePlus 12 even has an infrared remote control. The smartphone would be able to control various electronic devices, such as TVs and air conditioners. It is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor since it is a flagship device.

This week, OnePlus will launch a new display in partnership with BOE. The new display is expected to have a 2K resolution and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. It will debut with the OnePlus 12 and will be the brightest smartphone display. According to reports, it has a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. In addition to 100W wired fast charging, the battery could have a capacity of 5,400mAh.

New report suggest Apple might hike up the prices of the upcoming iPhone 16 series.

Last month, Apple launched the iPhone 15 series globally. It seems that the user reception has increased despite the initial hiccups. According to reports, the iPhone 15’s production costs are significantly higher than last year’s iPhone 14. Due to high component prices, this is the case. With the iPhone 16 lineup in 2024, Apple could pass on these price increases to customers, according to the latest Nikkei Asia report.

According to reports, the iPhone 15 Pro Max will cost $588 (roughly Rs 48,900), which is a 12 percent increase over the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Parts for the Pro Max models cost between $400 and $450 between 2018 and 2021.

As a result, component costs rose around 20 percent in 2022 before reaching their current peak of $558. All other components of the iPhone 15 Pro Max have increased by 38 percent, including the telephoto camera. Similar to the stainless steel frame of previous models, the titanium frame costs $50, a 43 percent increase. Finally, the A17 Pro chip costs $130 (around Rs 10,800), a 27 percent increase over the A16 Bionic.

There have also been price hikes on the standard iPhone 15 models in addition to the Pro Max models. Standard iPhone 15 components cost $423, an increase of 16 percent over iPhone 14. In comparison to its predecessor, the iPhone 15 Plus is priced at $442, an increase of 10 percent. Last but not least, the iPhone 15 Pro increased by 8 percent to $523.

Although costs have increased, Apple has not raised retail prices for the iPhone 15 models this year and has chosen to swallow the impact of increased costs.

Research by Tokyo-based Fomalhaut Tecno Solutions and Nikkei indicates that Apple may eventually increase the retail price of the iPhone 16 series. When they are released in 2024 if it continues to absorb the impact of increased production costs.

Samsung might change the speaker design on the Galaxy S24 Ultra, details leaked.

The Galaxy S24 series, Samsung’s next flagship, could be introduced as early as January. Unsurprisingly, the Galaxy S24 Ultra draws the most attention. There’s more to the launch than just the launch itself; the device is expected to launch with a whole bunch of changes as well. Recent leaks suggest the device will have a long, strip-like bottom speaker, according to Ice Universe.

The camera is another key update that has everyone talking. According to rumors, the main rear camera will have an impressive 200MP sensor. However, there is a twist to this exciting prospect. It is possible that Samsung is reducing its optical zoom capabilities. The Galaxy S24 Ultra’s periscope lens will offer a 5x optical zoom, down from 10x previously. With the iPhone 15 Pro Max, Apple took a similar approach.

The camera isn’t the only thing Samsung is working on. There will be a significant redesign. According to Ice Universe, the Galaxy S24 Ultra may have a “long strip design,” rather than the six pill-shaped holes found on the Galaxy S23 Ultra. It’s not always easy to accept change. Several fans are skeptics. According to one user, older models like the Galaxy S9 featured a strip design that seemed “less premium.” It is always advisable to take leaks with a grain of salt.

Apple might bring some major upgrades the Apple HomePod 2 will arrive with display.

There is a possibility that Apple HomePod will get a big upgrade with its next-generation model as the company is working on a new generation model with an LCD display. A second-generation HomePod was introduced by Apple earlier this year, two years after the first generation was discontinued. As part of its smart home ecosystem, Apple sells the Apple HomePod and HomePod Mini smart speakers.

With the end of 2023 approaching, it appears Apple is preparing for the next-generation model. In addition to rumors of the next-gen HomePod model, we have now seen a prototype of what could be the next-generation Smart Home device.

An image of a HomePod with an LCD screen has surfaced on the internet, giving us a glimpse at the smart home product. A Twitter user known for collecting and sharing rare Apple product images and details, Kosutami, has shared some images of the HomePod with an LCD screen, confirming that this is indeed a real prototype.

According to the images, the HomePod device has a large LCD screen on top. The screen is also said to be touch-sensitive. Kosutami says these are samples of the upcoming HomePod 2 with the screen. Additionally, the prototype’s shell design resembles that of the 2nd generation HomePod, not the 1st generation.

According to 9to5mac, they verified the legitimacy of these images with their sources and learned more details about this HomePod. Apple is actively working on this upcoming model, codenamed B720. The prototype is currently in an advanced stage and could be released in the coming months. As of yet, there is no word on the launch.

Apple could be testing a number of prototypes in addition to the ones shown in the images for the time being.

OnePlus & Realme stopped the production of Smart TV & plans to quit the TV market in India.

Times of India reports that OnePlus and Realme, both BBK-owned brands, are exiting the Indian television market. They entered the country’s TV market in 2019 and 2020, respectively. The competitive pricing and premium features of OnePlus and Realme helped them challenge established brands such as LG, Samsung, Sony, etc. It comes as a surprise that they have left (even though it is unofficial).

Due to streaming services, affordable internet, the ongoing World Cup, and festive season sales, the TV market in India is experiencing strong growth. Realme and OnePlus both manufacture televisions locally in India. Additionally, they invested in building sales channels and branding.

OnePlus and Realme will also cease production and sale of televisions in the country, according to TOI. However, they will continue to manufacture smartphones. No official statement has been released by either company. In India, Xiaomi continues to dominate the television segment despite OnePlus and Realme’s reported exits.

According to IDC, 4.5 million televisions were shipped in India in the first half of 2023, an 8 percent increase YoY. Samsung and LG were in second and third place with 13 and 12 percent shares, respectively, in the Chinese TV market.

Xiaomi reveals the details of the new Xiaomi HyperOS ahead of the launch.

During the launch event for the Xiaomi 14 series in China, HyperOS will be officially launched. It has begun teasing its new software ahead of time.

A breakthrough in system software was announced earlier today by the company. It also revealed its new software’s architecture.

HyperOS appears to be Xiaomi’s answer to Huawei’s HarmonyOS. According to the company’s architecture, the software consists of five layers.

It is followed by the kernel layer at the bottom of the stack. The Linux kernel and the Vela kernel are both used by HyperOS. Vela is Xiaomi’s IoT platform based on NuttX RTOS.

The third layer uses Android as well as Vela frameworks and services. It is likely that the second and third layers will vary from device to device.

Android and Linux may be used on smartphones and tablets, for example. IoT devices, however, may use Vela. However, both systems will be called HyperOS, the same way Huawei advertises HarmonyOS.

HyperConnect is the fourth layer. By doing this, all devices will be able to communicate with one another, despite their third and second layers being different. Apps make up the fifth layer.

Xiaomi doesn’t mention it, but we believe the third layer will also include GMS (Google Mobile Services).

With the launch of MIUI in 2010, Xiaomi says HyperOS took 13 years to develop. The actual research and development began 7 years ago with the introduction of Xiaomi Vela.

Qualcomm’s upcoming flagship chip Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC detailed specs leaked.

There are only a few days left until Snapdragon Summit, but detailed specifications and features for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 have leaked, revealing the improvements compared to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, along with a number of advantages for Android smartphones and tablets. GPU upscaling has also been heavily invested in this time, enabling 8K gaming and adding visual enhancements like global illumination and ray tracing.

Specs:

Taking a look at the CPU and GPU improvements first, MSPowerUser showed off a leaked press slide showing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has a ‘1 + 5 + 2’ CPU cluster and is mass-produced on the 4nm process. According to the slide, the CPU is 30 percent faster and 20 percent more power efficient than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The slide shows that the Adreno 750 GPU is 25 percent more powerful and efficient than the previous generation.

Additionally, Qualcomm has equipped the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with support for Unreal Engine 5 with Lumen, along with Snapdragon Game Super Resolution, which can upscale up to 8K. With Qualcomm’s Adreno Frame Motion Engine 2.0, 240FPS can also be experienced on a 240Hz display, although the slide does not mention the number of games that can be played at these framerates.

Additionally, Hexagon NPU is 98 percent faster and 40 percent more efficient than its predecessor, and there is on-device AI support with more than 10 billion parameters. Qualcomm’s next-generation 5G modem is integrated into the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, enabling downlink speeds of 10Gbps and uplink speeds of 3.5Gbps. It is also Wi-Fi 7-ready and capable of 5.8Gbps, although readers should be aware that service providers may not necessarily provide these speeds.

It was interesting to note that the USB version was 3.1 Gen 2, which can support up to 10Gbps, just like the USB controller on the A17 Pro. As a result of this upgrade, Android flagship phones with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 can be connected to an external monitor for gaming purposes, just like the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
