A new poster has been unveiled by Realme on its official Weibo account, teasing the upcoming launch of the Realme GT 5 Pro. The poster was shared by Realme’s Chief Marketing Officer, Xu Chase, who informed us about its launch this year. It is highly likely that Realme GT 5 Pro will debut with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and some other high-end features.

Additionally, the smartphone is expected to have VC Cooling technology to dissipate heat.

Realme GT5 Pro:

The new Realme GT5 Pro will sport a massive 2K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC coupled with 12GB/16GB/24GB RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB storage.

The device also features stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. On the back, the Realme GT5 Pro will ship with triple-rear cameras with a 50MP main Sony IMX966 sensor with f/1.8 aperture, OIS, and 50MP OV64B telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and LED flash. It comes with a 16MP selfie camera with an f/2.5 aperture.

It comes with a 5400 mAh battery with 100W fast charging & also supports 50W fast wireless charging. Realme GT5 Pro runs on Android 13 with ColorOS 13 on top.

The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE support, 5G Dual Mode (SA/NSA) support, in-display fingerprint scanner, Wifi 7, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, USB Type-C port and 1216 Linear Speaker, Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio certification.

Apple is confirmed to hold a new product event at the end of this month. During its second fall event of 2023, the Cupertino-based tech giant sent out invites. Macs are rumored to be arriving soon. The Apple Watch Series 9 and iPhone 15 series were introduced at Apple’s Wonderlust event last month.

The company has just announced that it will hold a launch event next Monday, October 30. Halloween is the day before, and the company couldn’t help but tie the two together: the event tagline is “Scary fast”.

This is what a very reliable source recently predicted for Apple’s next Mac-focused event in late October. Considering how fast the latest Macs are, we expect that we’ll all be scared.

There is a possibility that Apple HomePod will get a big upgrade with its next-generation model as the company is working on a new generation model with an LCD display. According to the images, the HomePod device has a large LCD screen on top. The screen is also said to be touch-sensitive. Kosutami says these are samples of the upcoming HomePod 2 with the screen. Additionally, the prototype’s shell design resembles that of the 2nd generation HomePod, not the 1st generation.

OnePlus & Realme stopped the production of Smart TV & plans to quit the TV market in India.

Times of India reports that OnePlus and Realme, both BBK-owned brands, are exiting the Indian television market. They entered the country’s TV market in 2019 and 2020, respectively. The competitive pricing and premium features of OnePlus and Realme helped them challenge established brands such as LG, Samsung, Sony, etc. It comes as a surprise that they have left (even though it is unofficial).

Due to streaming services, affordable internet, the ongoing World Cup, and festive season sales, the TV market in India is experiencing strong growth. Realme and OnePlus both manufacture televisions locally in India. Additionally, they invested in building sales channels and branding.

OnePlus and Realme will also cease production and sale of televisions in the country, according to TOI. However, they will continue to manufacture smartphones. No official statement has been released by either company. In India, Xiaomi continues to dominate the television segment despite OnePlus and Realme’s reported exits.

According to IDC, 4.5 million televisions were shipped in India in the first half of 2023, an 8 percent increase YoY. Samsung and LG were in second and third place with 13 and 12 percent shares, respectively, in the Chinese TV market.

During the launch event for the Xiaomi 14 series in China, HyperOS will be officially launched. It has begun teasing its new software ahead of time.

A breakthrough in system software was announced earlier today by the company. It also revealed its new software’s architecture.

HyperOS appears to be Xiaomi’s answer to Huawei’s HarmonyOS. According to the company’s architecture, the software consists of five layers.

It is followed by the kernel layer at the bottom of the stack. The Linux kernel and the Vela kernel are both used by HyperOS. Vela is Xiaomi’s IoT platform based on NuttX RTOS.

The third layer uses Android as well as Vela frameworks and services. It is likely that the second and third layers will vary from device to device.

Android and Linux may be used on smartphones and tablets, for example. IoT devices, however, may use Vela. However, both systems will be called HyperOS, the same way Huawei advertises HarmonyOS.

HyperConnect is the fourth layer. By doing this, all devices will be able to communicate with one another, despite their third and second layers being different. Apps make up the fifth layer.

Xiaomi doesn’t mention it, but we believe the third layer will also include GMS (Google Mobile Services).

There are only a few days left until Snapdragon Summit, but detailed specifications and features for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 have leaked, revealing the improvements compared to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, along with a number of advantages for Android smartphones and tablets. GPU upscaling has also been heavily invested in this time, enabling 8K gaming and adding visual enhancements like global illumination and ray tracing.

Taking a look at the CPU and GPU improvements first, MSPowerUser showed off a leaked press slide showing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has a ‘1 + 5 + 2’ CPU cluster and is mass-produced on the 4nm process. According to the slide, the CPU is 30 percent faster and 20 percent more power efficient than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The slide shows that the Adreno 750 GPU is 25 percent more powerful and efficient than the previous generation.

Additionally, Qualcomm has equipped the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with support for Unreal Engine 5 with Lumen, along with Snapdragon Game Super Resolution, which can upscale up to 8K. With Qualcomm’s Adreno Frame Motion Engine 2.0, 240FPS can also be experienced on a 240Hz display, although the slide does not mention the number of games that can be played at these framerates.

Additionally, Hexagon NPU is 98 percent faster and 40 percent more efficient than its predecessor, and there is on-device AI support with more than 10 billion parameters. Qualcomm’s next-generation 5G modem is integrated into the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, enabling downlink speeds of 10Gbps and uplink speeds of 3.5Gbps. It is also Wi-Fi 7-ready and capable of 5.8Gbps, although readers should be aware that service providers may not necessarily provide these speeds.

It was interesting to note that the USB version was 3.1 Gen 2, which can support up to 10Gbps, just like the USB controller on the A17 Pro.
