CES 2018: Samsung announces the Samsung Notebook 9 Pen with 8th Gen Intel Core i7

Samsung is on roll after launching the Samsung Notebook 7 Spin (2018) now Samsung unveils its second laptop with Samsung Notebook 9 Pen and Samsung Notebook 9 (2018).

Samsung Notebook 9 Pen is 2 in 1 laptop which can be turned into the tablet and full-fledged laptop as it comes with 360 degrees rotatable touchscreen whereas Samsung Notebook 9 (2018) is a standard variant.

Samsung Notebook 9 Pen and Samsung Notebook 9 (2018) is made out of aluminium alloy of Metal 12 complemented with Micro Arc Oxidation technology.Samsung Notebook 9 Pen and Samsung Notebook 9 (2018) 13.3 is super light and weighs just 998 grams and are 14.6 mm -15mm thick whereas the Samsung Notebook 9 (2018) 15 inches weighs 1.29 kgs and is 15.4 mm thick.

Samsung Notebook 9 Pen comes with 13.3 inches FHD display with a max brightness of 450 nits and Samsung Notebook 9 (2018) comes with two display sizes with 13.3 inches and 15 inches both having a resolution of FHD and max brightness of 500 nits.

All the three laptops are powered by 8th Gen Core i7 processor coupled with Intel HD Graphis on Samsung Notebook 9 Pen and Samsung Notebook 9 (2018) 13.3 and Intel HD Graphics or NVIDIA GeForce MX150 GPU on Samsung Notebook 9 (2018) 15 inches.All three models have RAM up to 16GB and 512GB SSD storage space.

All the three laptops come with a 720p front camera but Samsung Notebook 9 Pen comes with additional IR camera.All three devices have 1.5 Watt x2 speakers and fingerprint scanner with backlight keyboard and Precision touchpad.The differentiating factor between the Samsung Notebook 9 Pen and Samsung Notebook 9 (2018) is the additional S-Pen bundled within the package of Samsung Notebook 9 Pen.

The connectivity option includes USB Type-C port x1, USB 3.0 port x2, HDMI port x1, HP/Mic, DC-in, and uSD x1 on Samsung Notebook 9 (2018) 13.3 whereas extra Thunderbolt 3x 1 port and USB 2.0 Port x1 on the Samsung Notebook 9 (2018) 15 inches.The connectivity option on Samsung Galaxy Notebook 9 Pen include USB Type-C port x1, USB 3.0 port x1, HDMI port x1, HP/Mic, DC-in, and uSD x1.Both Samsung Notebook 9 Pen and Samsung Notebook 9 (2018) 13.3 are fueled by 45 Wh battery whereas Samsung Notebook 9 (2018) 15 inches fueled by 75 Wh battery.

All the devices run on Windows 10 OS.As of now, there are no details about pricing and availability.

CES 2018: HP launches HP Spectre x360 15, Pavilion Wave PC with Amazon Alexa, Z 3D camera, and Envy x2.

The year’s first technology event with CES 2018 is live and we are getting tons of new product launches every single day.After HP launching the HP Chromebox G2 now, HP has launched its range of products with HP Spectre x360 15, Pavilion Wave PC with Amazon Alexa, Z 3D camera, and Envy x2.It also launched its gaming lineup with OMEN Game Stream and OMEN X 65 Big format gaming display powered by NVIDIA G-Sync.

HP is teasing HP Spectre x360 15 as the world’s most powerful convertible laptop.It features 15.1 inches 4K UHD diagonal touch display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4.It is completely made out of metal and weighs 2.10 kgs.The speakers are mounted above the keyboard.

HP Spectre x360 15 is the first laptop to be powered by 8th gen Intel i7 Processor with latest AMD Radeon RX Vega M Graphics.It comes with a battery life of 12 hours and supports quick charging.The HP Spectre x360 15 has one more variant which is having the unnamed 8th Gen Intel processor coupled with NVIDIA GeForce MX150 GPU.It lasts for 13.5 hours on a single charge and comes with fast charging technology.

The HP Spectre x360 15 also comes with IR camera and fingerprint scanner. It runs on Windows 10 OS.HP Spectre x360 15 pricing starts from $1369.99 (Rs.86,900/-) in the US and will be available on HP.com and BestBuy starting from March 18.

The next laptop is with HP Envy X2 which is an Always Connected PC is built out of Aluminium.The new HP Envy X2 sports 12.3 inches WUXGA+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for protection.It weighs 766 grams.

The HP Envy X2 is powered by the 7th Gen Intel Core Y-series Processor coupled with 256GB SSD and 8GB DDR3 RAM.It features a backlight keyboard and comes with a leather-like case which can act as a stand or to convert into the laptop.It comes with Wifi and Intel XMM 4G LTE Modem.

The HP Envy X2 runs on Windows 10 Home and has a battery life of 17 hours on single charge.The HP Envy X2 will go on sale from Spring 2018 and as of now, HP has not unveiled price of the device.

The next product is the Amazon Alexa powered HP Pavilion Wave.The HP Pavilion Wave is the first Windows 10 running desktop which supports Amazon Alexa Voice Assistant. The desktop can easily play music, Videos, Web chats etc via Amazon Alexa.It also supports Intel’s Smart Surround Sound which offers 360 degrees audio output.HP Pavilion Wave will be available for a price tag of $599 (Rs.37,990/-) and will go on sale from Spring 2018.

HP also unveiled its 3D camera with HP Z 3D camera.It comes with a magnetic strap which attaches to any monitors.The new 3D camera creates 3D images from real objects.It also extends with HP Sprout G2 which connects through USB port to Display on the PC and can easily capture 3D images, scan documents etc.The new HP Z 3D camera also gives the option to share the Live video and images directly from the desktop.The HP Z 3D camera is priced at $549.99 (Rs.34,850/-) and will go on sale from March 2018 in the US.

HP also unveiled its gaming lineup with OMEN Game Stream and OMEN X 65 Big format gaming display powered by NVIDIA G-Sync.OMEN Game stream is a cloud-based game streaming device which allows the user to play AAA games anytime and anywhere.So with OMEN gaming PC running on Windows 10 OS users can take the gameplay anywhere and get the best gaming experience on the go.

OMEN X 65 Big format gaming display powered by NVIDIA G-Sync sports 65 inches 4K display which also supports new HDR 10 standards.The display has 120 Hz refresh rate and comes integrated with NVIDIA Sheild and NVIDIA G-Sync.

OMEN Game Stream will be available from Spring 2018 and OMEN X 65 Big format gaming display powered by NVIDIA G-Sync will be available from fall 2018.As of now, there are no pricing details available.

Microsoft Surface Phone will be official claims Microsoft Engineer in China.

Earlier we had got some leaks and rumours about the foldable smartphone from Microsoft with Microsoft Surface Phone and there were strong rumours that it might not come anytime soon.Now we have some official comment by the Microsoft engineer who accidentally confirms that Microsoft will launch its Surface Phone.

As per Microsoft Engineer based from China mentioned that Microsoft Surface Phone is real and will be launching soon on Chinese Q&A website called Zhihu.Some user complained about the Cortana not working properly on Android Smartphones.For that, the Engineer replied that Android has some restriction and lack of permission on the OS due which the Cortana doesn’t work properly.

Later he even added that he is looking forward to perfect performance on Microsoft Surface Phone.So as of now, we can’t comment on the Microsoft Surface Phone and there are no details about which OS will it be running on, as Windows Mobile OS is officially dead.

Sony finally unveiled the latest smartphones with Sony Xperia XA2, Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra and Sony Xperia L2 at CES today.After series of leaks and rumours about the latest mid-rangers, we finally have the device officially launched.

Sony Xperia XA2 and Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra

Sony Xperia XA2 and Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra is the successor to the last year launched Sony Xperia XA1 and Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra.Both the device has almost same specs but with different display sizes.Both Sony Xperia XA2 and Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra are made out of metal.

The Sony Xperia XA2 weighs 171 grams and is 9.7mm thick whereas the Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra weighs 221 grams and is 9.5 mm thick.It still features the same old Omnibalance design with rectangular shaped and sharp edges.Both the devices will be available in four colours with Silver, Blue, Pink and Black.

Sony Xperia XA2 and Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra sports 5.2 inches FHD display and 6 inches FHD display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass respectively.Both of the devices are powered by SD630 SoC coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage on Sony Xperia XA2 and 4GB RAM with 32GB/64GB internal storage on the Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra.Both the device’s storage can be expanded via dedicated microSD card slots.

There are slight design changes on the rear of the new Sony Xperia XA2 and Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra Camera been now moved centrally with LED flash beside it and fingerprint scanner below it.Both Sony Xperia XA2 and Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra features 23MP rear camera with an aperture of f/2.0, 84 degrees wide lens, and Hybrid AF.There is 8MP selfie camera with ultra wide-angle fixed focus lens but there is a secondary selfie camera on Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra of 16MP having an aperture of f/2.4, with AF, OIS and extreme FOV with an aspect ratio of 16:9.

The connectivity options include Single/Dual SIM with 4G LTE and VoLTE, Wifi, A-GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, FM Radio and USB Type -C port.The Sony Xperia XA2 is fueled by 3300mAh battery and Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra is fueled by 3850 mAh battery and both the devices support Quick Charging and comes bundled with Quick Charger.The Sony Xperia XA2 and Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra run on Android 8.0 out of the box.As of now, Sony has not revealed the pricing of the device but will go on sale starting from Feb 2018.

Sony Xperia L2

Sony also unveiled the budget-friendly device with Sony Xperia L2.The Sony Xperia L2 is the successor to the last year launched Sony Xperia L.The Sony Xperia L2 will be available in three colours with Black, Pink and Gold.

Sony Xperia L2 looks premium and comes with thick top and bottom bezels and retains the traditional Sony’s Omnibalance design.Sony Xperia L2 weighs 178 grams and is 10.16 mm thick.

Sony Xperia L2 sports 5.5 inches 720p HD display covered with Corning Gorilla Glass.It is powered by MediaTek MT6737T SoC coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 256GB.

Sony Xperia L2 features 13MP rear camera with an aperture of f/2.0 and 8MP selfie camera with 120 degrees super wide angle lens having an aperture of f/2.4.

The connectivity option includes Dual SIM/Single SIM with 4G LTE and VoLTE support, Wifi, Bluetooth 4.2LE, A-GPS, FM Radio, NFC, USB Type-C port, and rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.Sony Xperia L2 runs on Android 7.1.1 and is fueled by 3300 mAh battery which doesn’t support quick charging.

Sony Xperia L2 will go on sale starting from this month and there is no pricing details available for the same.

CES 2018: Acer Swift 7 most expensive laptop with Acer Spin 3 and Acer Nitro 5 launched.

It’s raining at CES 2018 after laptops launched by Samsung and HP we have the next brand with Acer.Acer finally unveiled its 2018 lineup of laptops with Acer Swift 7, Acer Nitro 5 and Acer Spin 3 at CES.

Acer Swift 7:

Acer launched it’s most expensive and world’s slimmest laptop with Acer Swift 7 (SF14-51) at the Consumer Electronics Show today.It is super slim and is just 8.98 mm thick.It is made out of aluminium and looks premium.Acer Swift 7 (SF14-51) comes in a single colour with BlackIt weighs just 1.12 kg.

Acer Swift 7 (SF14-51) comes in two variants with 13.3 inches and 14 inches FHD touchscreen display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. It is powered by 7th gen Core i7 with 8GB DDR3 RAM and 256GB SSD.It comes with VGA camera for making video calls.It comes with Intel XMM Modem with e-SIM support so always data on the go and also comes with traditional nano-SIM card slot.

The connectivity option includes 4G LTE modem, 2x USB 3.1 Type-C port, Bluetooth 4.1, 2×2 MIMO Wifi, Touchpad with fingerprint scanner, and 3.5 mm audio port.The laptop will have battery life up to 10 hours on a single charge as per company and runs on Windows 10.

The Acer Swift 7 (SF14-51) pricing starts from $1699 (Rs.1,07,510/-) in the US and will go on sale from April 2018 in select markets.

Acer Nitro 5

Acer also launched gaming laptop with Acer Nitro 5 which is powered by AMD CPU.The Acer Nitro 5 is having laser textured design and comes in a single colour with Black.

The Acer Nitro 5 sports 15.5 inches FHD IPS display. It is powered by latest AMD Ryzen CPU coupled with AMD Radeon RX560 GPU.It comes with 4GB RAM RAM and goes up to 32GB DDR4 RAM and storage starts from 256GB SSD goes up to 512GB SSD.

It comes with backlight keyboard and comes with Nitro Sense CPU/GPU monitoring software for real-time CPU and GPU usage.The connectivity option includes USB Type-C port, Ethernet port and HDMI 2.0 ports.

The Acer Nitro 5 is priced at $799 (Rs.50,500/-) and will go on sale from May 2018 in the US.

Acer Spin 3

The next device is a hybrid laptop with Acer Spin 3 (SP314-51) which can be converted to tablet as the rotatable screen up to 360 degrees.Acer Spin 3 (SP314-51) sports 14 inches FHD touchscreen display.

The Acer Spin 3 (SP314-51) is powered by the latest 8th Gen Intel Core CPU and promises 12 hours of battery life.As of now, Acer hasn’t revealed the specs sheet of the Acer Spin 3 (SP314-51).The Acer Spin 3 (SP314-51) will be available from Feb and pricing starts from $599 (Rs.38,000/-).

After LCD and LED it is time for next-generation display tech with OLED making its waves on all premium TVs with Samsung and LG already betting big on OLED panels now it is time for Panasonic.Panasonic FZ800 and FZ950 OLED TV come in two screen sizes with 55 inches and 65 inches.

Both the television come with a new tech called the Dynamic LUT which allows the user to update the TV colours instruction up to ten times per second. That means now Tv will change their colours automatically based on the content being played on TV.So one can expect the best viewing experience for a particular scene.

CES 2018:HP Chromebox G2 launched powered by Intel Kaby Lake processor.

With CES went live today we are getting back to back new announcement from major tech brands.HP today unveiled the Chromebox CPU with HP Chromebox G2 at CES 2018.

HP Chromebox G2 is the successor to 2014 launched HP Chromebox.The new HP Chromebox G2 will be available in a number of different configuration.The HP Chromebox G2 will be powered by Intel Kaby Lake or Intel Kaby Lake refresh generation and comes with various RAM and storage options.

The HP Chromebox G2 will be powered by Intel Celeron 3865U will be coupled with Intel HD Graphics 610, Intel Core i5-7300 or 7th gen Core i5, and 8th Gen Core i7 aka Core i7-8560U processor, both the Core i5 and Core i7 will be coupled with UHD Graphics 620 with integrated GPU.

HP Chromebox G2 comes with 16GB RAM and 32GB or 64GB M.2 SSD storage options.It is made out of plastic and weighs just 670 grams.It will come with 90 Watt or 65-watt external adapter.

The CPU comes with various connectivity options like 3x USB 3.0 port, 2x USB 2.0 port, 3.5 mm audio port, 1x USB type-C port for powering the device, 1x HDMI port and 1x Ethernet port.The HP Chromebox G2 is available only in Black colour and will go on sale starting from April 2018. TSMC will be producing the Apple A12 SoC and no Samsung made SoC this time.

Apple upcoming A12 SoC will be made by single vendor this time with TSMC and not by Samsung as per new rumours.Last few years both TSMC and Samsung were producing the SoC for Apple iPhones but from this year TSMC alone will be producing the latest Apple A12 SoC for 2018 iPhones.

As per industry insiders, the reason behind Samsung is out of the race because unable to implement the new 7nm process which TSMC has already made it possible.So Apple has given the whole A12 SoC chip for production exclusively to TSMC which will be powering the 2018 Apple iPhones.

TSMC will be making the SoC on EUV based 7nm+ process and will also starts its development on 5nm and the 3nm process.TSMC is planning to build a new plant for the new 5nm process SoC by mid of 2019.By 2020 the TSMC will start the production the of 3nm process based SoC.

As of now, we can take this news as a pinch of salt as the new leaks might be even turn out to be fake.Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus will be powered by the same SD845 SoC and will sport 5.8 inches and 6.2 inches QHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity displays respectively.
