GIGABYTE, one of the world’s leading PC hardware brands, has introduced four new OLED gaming monitors at CES 2026, aiming to push OLED display performance to the next level. The new lineup focuses on advanced picture tuning for both HDR and SDR, giving users finer control over image quality while retaining GIGABYTE’s well-known Tactical Features for competitive, responsive gameplay. With these additions, the company further strengthens its position in the high-end gaming monitor segment.

A Smarter Approach to HDR: HyperNits and Custom HDR Modes

HDR performance is a key highlight of the new range. GIGABYTE has introduced several HDR Picture Modes—HDR Movie, HDR Game, and HDR Vivid—each tailored for different usage scenarios. Whether you’re watching films, playing games, or enjoying vibrant visuals, these modes are tuned to bring out the best in HDR content.

A common drawback of many current OLED monitors is that HDR content can look dim overall, especially in peak brightness modes, because of Average Picture Level (APL) limitations. To address this, GIGABYTE has developed HyperNits, an intelligent tuning feature built on a proprietary algorithm that reshapes the EOTF curve in a smarter way.

With HyperNits enabled, overall brightness can increase by up to 30% while still preserving important highlight details, so bright scenes maintain impact without washing out. Users can select HyperNits High for maximum brightness or HyperNits Medium for a gentler, roughly 20% boost—ideal for darker rooms where comfort and clarity matter equally.

AI-Enhanced SDR for Everyday Use

For standard SDR content, GIGABYTE has introduced AI Picture Mode, designed to automatically optimize the display for whatever you’re doing—whether it’s work, entertainment, or gaming. Trained on a large dataset, this mode intelligently picks the most suitable fine-tuned profile in the background.

When you’re working, it can lower brightness and cut down blue light to reduce eye strain. For movies and streaming, it tweaks contrast and gamma to deliver a more cinematic image. In first-person shooter (FPS) games, it can enable AI Black Equalizer to brighten shadowy areas, improving visibility without overexposing the rest of the scene.

All these adjustments happen seamlessly and in real time, so users get a consistently refined viewing experience without needing to dig through settings menus.

Tactical Features for Competitive Gameplay

Beyond pure picture quality, GIGABYTE’s signature Tactical Features continue to define the user experience of its gaming monitors. These tools are designed to give players more flexibility and better control in-game.

Tactical Switch 2.0 lets users toggle between different resolutions and aspect ratios—such as 4:3 or 5:4—at the press of a button. This is especially useful for titles that benefit from a different field of view or for players who prefer certain competitive formats.

The Ultra Clear feature further sharpens motion clarity and helps reduce motion blur. This enhancement is particularly noticeable in high-speed games, intense action sequences, and fast-moving video, where clear, crisp visuals can make a real difference.

The CES 2026 Lineup: QD-OLED and WOLED Innovations

GIGABYTE’s CES 2026 OLED lineup includes both ultra-wide and 4K models, as well as next-generation WOLED options.

The ultra-wide QD-OLED MO34WQC36 and the 4K QD-OLED MO32U24 stand out as the flagship models. Both come equipped with the latest ObsidianShield film and are DisplayHDR True Black 500-certified.

ObsidianShield is engineered to significantly deepen blacks, increasing perceived black levels by up to 40%. This results in stronger contrast and more impactful image depth. At the same time, panel durability has been improved: surface hardness has been raised from 2H to 3H, providing approximately 2.5 times better scratch resistance for everyday use.

The MO34WQC36 also benefits from a new V-stripe sub-pixel structure, which delivers up to 64 times more precise text rendering. This makes it particularly appealing not only for gaming but also for productivity and content creation, where text clarity is crucial.

On the WOLED side, the MO27Q28GR leverages RealBlack Glossy 4th-generation WOLED technology. It carries UL certification for outstanding black-level performance even in brightly lit environments, helping maintain strong contrast in rooms with a lot of ambient light.

Rounding out the lineup is the 27-inch QD-OLED MO27Q2A, now available in a fresh white finish named MO27Q2A ICE. This variant offers the same display advantages while appealing to users who prefer a lighter, more minimalist desktop aesthetic.
