Last year, OnePlus launched the OnePlus 13T in China, then brought a slightly modified version to India as the OnePlus 13s. This year, many expected a similar strategy for the OnePlus 15T in China and a 15s variant for India—but that may no longer be the case.
OnePlus 15s likely cancelled, Nord 6 delayed
According to tech blogger Yogesh Brar on X (formerly Twitter), there’s now nearly a 90% chance that the OnePlus 15s has been cancelled. He previously said the phone had entered testing and was scheduled for a February launch in India, but now reports that it has been delayed with no new launch window in sight.
Reports also claim the OnePlus 15s and Nord 6 were planned as rebranded or slightly tweaked versions of the upcoming OnePlus 15T and the recently launched OnePlus Turbo 6 from China.
What to expect from the OnePlus 15T
The OnePlus 15T is rumored to feature a 6.31‑inch OLED LTPO display with a 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. It’s expected to run ColorOS 16, based on Android 16, with a focus on a compact flagship design rather than a large, bulky form factor.
Camera leaks suggest OnePlus will again skip an ultra‑wide sensor, as with the previous generation. The main camera may be either a 50‑megapixel Sony IMX906 or a 200‑megapixel Samsung HP5, paired with a 50‑megapixel Samsung JN5 telephoto lens.
Under the hood, the OnePlus 15T is said to come with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage, and an approximately 7,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging.
OnePlus Turbo 6: potential base for Nord 6
The OnePlus Turbo 6, which recently debuted in China, is widely believed to form the basis for the upcoming Nord 6. It offers a 6.78‑inch flat OLED LTPS display with a 2772 × 1272 FHD+ resolution, up to 165Hz refresh rate, and 9340Hz PWM dimming for improved eye comfort.
Powering the Turbo 6 is the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. It runs Android 16 with ColorOS 16 on top.
One of its standout features is a massive 9,000mAh battery that supports 80W wired charging and 27W reverse charging, allowing it to top up other devices. Camera hardware includes a 16‑megapixel selfie camera and a dual rear setup with a 50‑megapixel Sony LYT‑600 sensor with OIS and a 2‑megapixel monochrome lens.
With the OnePlus 15s now looking unlikely and the Nord 6 reportedly delayed, Indian buyers may have to wait longer for OnePlus phones based on the 15T and Turbo 6.
