Details of the OnePlus 15 have been revealed in a recent leak. While it is the brand’s upcoming flagship, there are disappointing downgrades. The display on the front was first, and now the camera system on the back is also getting worse.

The OnePlus Club has tweeted that its next flagship may not impress in the camera department, unlike its predecessor. The periscope telephoto shooter and primary camera also receive notable upgrades, in addition to the ultra-wide-angle lens. There will be a 50MP 1/1.56-inch primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, paired with a zoom lens with a 50MP Samsung JN5 1/2.75-inch sensor and a 3x optical zoom.

While the telephoto shoot retains the same optical zoom, its sensor size has dropped from the OnePlus 13’s 50MP Sony IMX882, which had a 1/1.95-inch sensor. With the new in-house engine DetailMax, OnePlus plans to move away from Hasselblad.

There is also an alleged weakening of the haptics. It appears that OnePlus 15 switches from the AAC CSA+0916Turbo (602 mm2) used in OnePlus 13 to the smaller AAC ESA1016 (560 mm2). OnePlus 13 users praised its crisp feedback, so this could mean OnePlus 15 users will notice less punch.
