In addition to the Xiaomi 17 series, several other highlights were showcased at the event. Xiaomi also introduced the new Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro tablets.
Xiaomi Pad 8 & Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro:
The new Xiaomi Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro will look identical in terms of design, but get a slight change in terms of internals. They come with a premium metal unibody featuring thicker bezels that protect the display on the front.
On the back, the Xiaomi Pad 8 & Pad 8 Pro will feature single and dual rear cameras, respectively, with LED flash. Furthermore, the Xiaomi Pad 8 & Pad 8 Pro are available in various colours, including Ice Crystal Blue, Turquoise Green, and Black. Both tablets measure 5.75 mm in thickness and weigh 485g, respectively.
Specs:
The Xiaomi Pad 8 & Pad 8 Pro will feature the same 11.2-inch 3.2K IPS LCD with a 144Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 3200 x 2136 pixels. It also supports HDR10, 10-bit, and P3 colour gamuts. Both the Xiaomi Pad 8 & Pad 8 Pro come with stylus support with a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. It also gets Dolby Vision with Eye Protection Mode. There is also a Matte edition of both tablets, which features an AG texture coating on the display, said to reduce reflections by up to 70%.
The Xiaomi Pad 8 is powered by a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC, whereas the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. Both models are equipped with 8GB/12GB RAM and 256GB/512GB UFS 3.1 storage.
The Xiaomi Pad 8 comes with a single 13MP main sensor with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. The Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro comes with a 50MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture. Both tablets support 4K video recording at 30fps. The Xiaomi Pad 8 comes with an 8MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.0, Pad 8 Pro features a 32MP selfie camera.
The connectivity option includes Wifi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and USB Type-C port. It runs on Android 16 with the latest Xiaomi HyperOS 3 on top. The Xiaomi Pad 8 and the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro feature a 9200 mAh battery with support for 45W and 67W fast charging.
Lastly, the Xiaomi Pad 8 features quad speakers, whereas the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro boasts eight speakers on either side, with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res support.

The Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro with 8GB+128GB at 2799 Yuan (Rs.34,500/-), 8GB+256GB at 3099 Yuan (Rs.38,990/-), 12GB+256GB at 3399 Yuan (Rs.42,500/-) & 12GB+512GB at 3599 Yuan (Rs.44,500/-) in China.
