For months, there has been speculation about whether vivo would finally bring its X Ultra lineup outside China. Certification listings hinted at a broader release, but nothing was concrete—until now. vivo has officially confirmed that the X300 Ultra is headed to international markets, marking the first time an X Ultra device will be sold globally.

To build excitement ahead of launch, vivo used MWC 2026 in Barcelona to spotlight one thing in particular: video. After earning a solid reputation for still photography, the company is now positioning the X300 Ultra as a serious tool for videography and production, pitching it as an end-to-end solution from shooting to grading.

4K, 120fps, 10‑bit Log and Dolby Vision on every camera

The X300 Ultra brings high-end video specs across the entire camera system. All of its cameras can capture 4K footage at 120fps in 10‑bit Log format as well as in Dolby Vision. On top of that, vivo is heavily emphasising stabilisation – the phone features full-range optical image stabilisation with up to 3° of correction, aiming to keep footage smooth even during more dynamic shots.

Multi-focal 4K Master Color Video and pro-grade color tools

A major talking point is the new multi-focal 4K Master Color Video feature, which is designed to deliver consistent, accurate colors and refined tonal handling across different focal lengths. Paired with that is the Video Color Palette, a tool that allows precise adjustment of tone, saturation, color balance and contrast.

Together, these features are meant to bridge the gap between casual shooting and professional workflows, letting users move from high-quality recording straight into cinema-style color work without leaving the phone.

Pro Video Mode with familiar controls and LUT support

As already highlighted, every rear camera supports 4K 120fps 10‑bit Log recording, but vivo is also catering to those who want full manual control. The new Pro Video Mode exposes the settings and interface elements that videographers would recognise from dedicated cameras and professional rigs.

The camera app can load custom 3D LUTs, enabling real-time preview of your final look while you record in Log. That means creators can monitor footage as it will appear after grading, rather than having to imagine how the flat Log image will be transformed later.

Upgraded audio: Quad-Mic Audio Recording Master

vivo isn’t treating sound as an afterthought, either. The X300 Ultra debuts an improved Quad-Mic Audio Recording Master system. It’s designed to focus on the subject’s voice or primary sound source while dampening background noise, making on-the-go recording and vlogging more usable straight out of the phone.

Videography-focused accessory ecosystem

To round out the experience, vivo is offering a dedicated set of accessories tailored for video creators using the X300 Ultra. These include a Professional Photography Grip for more stable handling, a Camera Cage for mounting add-ons, a Cooling Fan to keep temperatures in check during extended recording, and an External Lens Expansion Frame for attaching additional optics.

Launch timing and pricing are still unknown

Despite the extensive focus on video capabilities, vivo stopped short of revealing key launch details. There’s still no official date for the X300 Ultra’s global debut, and pricing remains under wraps as well.

Even so, the company’s decision to showcase the device at MWC 2026 and formally confirm its international rollout strongly suggests that the global launch isn’t far off.
