In addition to the vivo X300 and X300 Pro smartphones, vivo announced a trio of new products, including the 12.1-inch Pad 5e tablet and TWS 5 flagship earbuds.
Vivo Pad5e:
The Vivo Pad5e will now sport a 12.05-inch WQXGA IPS LCD 2.8K (3096 x 2064p) display. It will support HDR10, Dolby Vision, and a 144Hz refresh rate. Further, the device will not have a fingerprint scanner; instead, it will have Face Unlock.
The Vivo Pad5e features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, with 8GB/12GB/16GB of RAM, and 128GB/256GB/512GB of internal storage. Its 8MP primary sensor has an f/2.2 aperture and LED flash, and its 5MP selfie shooter has an f/2.2 aperture.
The device also has quad speakers, one on top and the other at the bottom. It will also get Stylus support. The Vivo Pad5e packs a 10,000 mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. It runs on Android 15 OS with OriginOS 5.0 on top.
The connectivity options include Wi-Fi/Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.
The Pad 5e costs CNY 1,999 ($280) for the base 8/128GB model and CNY 2,999 ($421) for the 16/512GB model. The open sales in China begin on October 17.
Vivo TWS 5:
Vivo’s TWS 5 are the company’s latest flagship earbuds. With 11mm dynamic drivers and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, they are available in standard and hi-fi versions. In addition to supporting AAC, SBC, and LDAC codecs, the Hi-Fi model also supports LHDC playback and DeepX 4.0 stereo audio.
Vivo claims that active noise cancellation (ANC) can reduce ambient noise by up to 60dB. With ANC off, the battery should last up to 48 hours and with ANC on, you should get up to 24 hours of use.
There is IP54 ingress protection, triple device connectivity, and on-device translations for English, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and French.
Vivo TWS 5 starts at CNY 399 ($56), while the Hi-Fi model costs CNY 499 ($70).
