The battle for raw power has become as important as keeping things cool in the cutthroat flagship smartphone market. IQOO aims to make a mark with its upcoming iQOO 15, which is shaping up to be a true powerhouse for gamers. To achieve maximum performance from the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the company is teasing a new and more effective cooling system.

It appears that iQOO’s highlight this year is its 8K (8000 mm2) VC Ice Dome cooling system – the largest vapour chamber ever included in an iQOO phone. The iQOO 13 boasted a “7K Ultra VC Cooling System” last year. Thanks to a larger VC heat sink and a double-layer high-thermal-conductivity graphite sheet, this new design provides 47% more heat dissipation than its predecessor.

According to the iQOO 15’s product manager, the VC heat sink is three times the size of the iPhone 17 Pro Max’s.

iQOO doesn’t stop at cooling. There will be an anti-reflective protective film applied to every variant of the iQOO 15, something unique in the industry, the company claims. With this addition, you can see your screen more clearly under bright light.

As for the display itself, it sounds impressive as well. The iQOO 15 utilises a Samsung Everest 2K panel with M14 luminous material, which offers a 40% increase in luminous efficiency. There are also eye-catching peak brightness figures: 1000 nits (manual), 2600 nits (full-screen), and a blinding 6000 nits (local peak) – perfect for HDR content or outdoor gaming.

There are also IP-rated waterproofing, ultrasonic fingerprint recognition, dual symmetrical speakers, and a 091640 X-axis vibration motor for more precise haptic feedback.
