After teasing OxygenOS 16 last week, OnePlus has finally revealed the date it will unveil the next generation of its Android skin: October 16. Since OxygenOS 16 is based on Android 16, that makes sense.
Google released Android 16 back in June, but it’s almost here now. One recent rumour suggested the OnePlus 15 would be unveiled on November 13 with OxygenOS 16 on board.
The phone may be announced for the Chinese market on October 1,6 along with OxygenOS 16. According to the promo image above, OxygenOS 16 will be all about AI, and it will be “intelligently yours”. OnePlus has already teased deeper integration with Gemini, which will enable access to the company’s first-party apps.
OxygenOS will undoubtedly have more goodies baked into the next release, so we’ll keep you updated as more details emerge.
