Bloomberg reports that Apple’s iPad Air and iPad mini lineups will receive major display upgrades soon. MacBook Air’s display is also being upgraded.

Reports indicate that the Cupertino giant is testing OLED displays for new iPad Air, mini, and MacBook Air products. In 2026, Apple plans to introduce the iPad mini with an OLED panel.

An OLED display would be a welcome upgrade for the iPad mini, but it’s expected to cost more. OLED models could cost up to $100 more than current models, according to the report. Water-resistance and an upgraded speaker system are also on the way for Apple’s iPad mini.

In the coming years, the iPad Air is also expected to adopt OLED technology, though the next iteration is expected to utilise an LCD panel. Apple is developing a new MacBook Air with an OLED display, but it’s unlikely to launch until 2028, according to sources.
