According to rumours, the Xiaomi 16 series will make its debut in China next month. A recent leak suggests the reintroduction of a feature previously seen on the Xiaomi 11 Ultra, while the company has not yet confirmed any official details.

An altered rear camera module that seems to have a secondary display is visible in leaked photos purportedly of the Xiaomi 16 Pro Max. Ishan Agarwal, a tipster, posted pictures that suggest Xiaomi might be bringing back one of its most recognisable design features.

A noticeable horizontal camera module on the rear of the purported Xiaomi 16 Pro variant is shown in the leaked photos. The module resembles the Xiaomi 11 Ultra, featuring two vertically aligned sensors on the left and a secondary display.

A third camera and an LED flash are located beneath the module. Interestingly, the general design also has similarities to the anticipated camera arrangement of the next generation of iPhones, the 17 Pro series.

The Xiaomi 16 might not include a secondary display at all, or it might just be copying the iPhone 17 Pro’s rumoured design. We will have to wait till Xiaomi starts releasing official teasers or makes the official announcement for the time being.
