Galaxy S26 family, running One UI 8.5, is rumoured to launch in January. In the last few days, we got a glimpse of the design changes coming in One UI 8.5, and now a teardown of the new feature has been released.
In this case, we’re referring to the ability to double-tap the back of the phone to activate. You can even get it with One UI, but only via the Good Lock app, not directly within the skin. This feature has been available in some other Android skins for quite some time now.
The launch of One UI 8.5 will bring just that change. Upon receiving it, you can choose from seven options for the gesture to trigger: AI Select, Flashlight, Notifications, Open app, Privacy display, Quick settings, and Screenshot.
For now, that’s the list, but Samsung may add or subtract items between now and the release of One UI 8.5.
