Details about the Xiaomi 16 Pro Max have been leaked, following yesterday’s news about the Xiaomi 16 Ultra and its purported DSLR-style continuous zoom.

Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station claimed in a since-deleted post that the 16 Pro Max might include a large, flat 2K OLED display that combines LIPO and LTPO technology.

According to the leak, the phone will have three 50MP cameras, with the 50MP SmartSens 590 sensor at the top of the pack. According to reports, the sensor measures 1/1.28′′, is based on a 22nm process, which should improve power efficiency, and supports LOFIC 2.0 for enhanced dynamic range. A 50MP GN8 periscope lens (approximately 1/1.95′′) that should provide 5x optical zoom is also included.

The 16 Pro Max is expected to have the largest battery in the Xiaomi 16 lineup, with a massive 7,500mAh cell that supports 100W fast charging. For comparison, the Xiaomi 16 Ultra may have a maximum capacity of 7,000mAh.

According to reports, the phone will be powered by a second-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite, along with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3.0 and Android 16.

The rumoured secondary screen on the phone’s back may be one especially intriguing addition this generation. There are rumours that this display will be integrated into the camera island of the 16 Pro Max.
