Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship Xiaomi 16 series camera specs leaked online.

Recent leaks have sparked uncertainty regarding the devices that will comprise the Xiaomi 16 series, which is rumoured to debut in China by late September. According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the lineup will include two Pro models featuring 6.3-inch and 6.8-inch displays, alongside a standard model with a screen size that falls between the two. In a newer leak, the tipster revealed that the standard Xiaomi 16 will be a well-balanced device designed to deliver an all-around performance.

The tipster also claimed that the Xiaomi 16 series will come equipped with a 50-megapixel front-facing camera. While it hasn’t been explicitly confirmed, the Xiaomi 16 Pro Mini, Xiaomi 16, and Xiaomi 16 Pro may all share this feature.

As for the Xiaomi 16 Pro Mini (a tentative name), it is expected to incorporate premium features like a large primary camera sensor, a periscope telephoto lens, and wireless charging. However, its engineering prototype currently features a smaller battery than the standard Xiaomi 16.

The tipster noted that this is not the final version, and adjustments are being made to improve it. Based on this, the standard Xiaomi 16 may appeal more to users seeking a balanced device with a larger battery, offering a potent mix of features and performance.

In terms of display sizes, the Xiaomi 16 Pro Mini and Xiaomi 16 Pro are expected to feature 6.3-inch and 6.8-inch screens, respectively, while the Xiaomi 16 is likely to have a 6.5-inch display. All three models are rumoured to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset, ensuring flagship-level performance.

Additionally, the lineup is expected to expand in the first half of 2026 with the Xiaomi 16 Ultra and Xiaomi 16S Pro. While the Xiaomi 16S Pro is rumoured to feature the next-generation Xring O2, it remains unclear whether the Xiaomi 16 Ultra will adopt the Xring O2 or stick with the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset.
