OnePlus has built a reputation for launching flagship devices, followed by Ace-branded sub-flagship phones in China towards the end of the year. For instance, last year saw the OnePlus 13 debut in October, followed by the Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro in December. However, a new leak suggests a potential shift in this strategy for the brand’s subsequent flagship releases.

Recent reports confirm that OnePlus is developing its next flagship, the OnePlus 15, which is expected to launch in October in China. The device is rumoured to feature Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset, promising top-notch performance.

As for the Ace 6 lineup, it is said to include two models: the Ace 6 and Ace 6 Pro. While these were initially expected to launch in November or December, a new leak from trusted insider Digital Chat Station suggests otherwise. The leak claims that both the OnePlus 15 and Ace 6 could be unveiled together in October.

This raises questions about the Ace 6 Pro’s release, as it may either be launched later or scrapped altogether. Furthermore, the tipster hinted that these OnePlus devices may hit the market before the Redmi K90 series, setting the stage for fierce competition between the two brands.

Rumours surrounding the OnePlus 15 suggest it will sport a 6.78-inch flat OLED LTPO 2K display with ultra-slim bezels on all sides. The device is reportedly powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset and is said to feature a 7,000mAh+ battery, supporting both 100W wired and wireless charging. Additional features may include a Plus key (side button), a metal middle frame, an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner, a 0916 x-axis vibration motor, and an IP68 or IP69-rated build for enhanced durability.
