We are now beginning to get tidbits about Samsung’s next flagship chipset, following the severe delay in the release of the Exynos 2600. We now know what the GPU will look like, following the Geekbench listing that revealed the CPU’s specifications.

An X user shared a picture of the Exynos 2600 on 3DMark’s Steel Nomad Light benchmark, showing an astounding 3,135 points—roughly 15% more than one could anticipate from a smartphone with a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. According to this leak, the Xclipse 960 GPU in the Exynos 2600 will be more powerful than the Snapdragon flagship processor currently in use.

However, that is not entirely accurate. Firstly, Samsung’s SoC appears to be operating on a test bench, which often performs better than smartphones due to its superior cooling, resulting in higher raw performance.

Second, since the chipset is expected to be released in early 2026 alongside the Galaxy S26 series, it is unlikely to be the final version. For instance, the clock speeds may vary. Additionally, it is anticipated that the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 will be available by that time.

Therefore, it’s too soon to say whether the Exynos 2600 will outperform Qualcomm’s top hardware, but these initial findings certainly seem encouraging.
