Months before it is formally announced, Samsung’s upcoming flagship is already circulating online. Information about the new image sensor has been leaked, adding credence to the rumours that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will bring a significant upgrade to its camera system.

The brand’s 2026 flagship, according to well-known tipster Ice Universe, will sport the upgraded ISOCELL HP2+ camera (the Galaxy S25 Ultra has HP2). He goes on to say that this new camera will have a wider aperture, which will enhance its performance in low-light conditions.

The tipster believes that this is the most significant upgrade on any Samsung flagship since the Galaxy S20 Ultra. Unfortunately, this was all the information shared in the tweet. But apart from the camera system, the company is expected to bring improvements to the fast charging rate (from 45W to 65W) as well.

In our recent report, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is also believed to use the Samsung-made Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 SoC. The new chipset will reportedly be based on Samsung’s 2nm GAA process. Meanwhile, the more affordable base model might pack the Exynos 2600 chip. We are still a long while away from the S26 series launch, so take these unconfirmed reports with a grain of salt for the time being.
