According to reports, the vivo X Fold5 will launch on July 10. The announcement date hasn’t been confirmed, but it appears to be imminent, judging by the frequency of teasers lately. The latest official teaser shows a full-frontal image of the foldable smartphone.
As the teaser image only shows the internal display, it’s difficult to determine how thick the bezels are. On the left side of the picture is a new physical button, which likely replaces the previous generation’s mute switch.
It also mentions LTPO 8T displays on both sides, 4,500 nits of peak brightness, high-frequency PWM dimming for reduced eye strain, and Zeiss Master Color calibration for more accurate color reproduction.
With its dust and water resistance and slim profile, the vivo X Fold5 is an impressive foldable.

The new Vivo X Fold3 Pro will sport a massive 8.03-inch internal QHD+ AMOLED (2,480 x 2200p) LTPO 3.0 display with a 120Hz refresh rate. A secondary 6.53-inch FHD+ OLED (2748 x 1172 pixels) display with a 120Hz refresh rate will also be available. Sadly, the device still features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC now powers the new Vivo X Fold5 with 12GB/16GB RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB storage space. The device features triple-rear cameras with Zeiss branding and T* coating. It has a 50MP primary Sony IMX921 sensor with OIS and a 50MP ultra-wide sensor. There is a 50MP Sony IMX882 telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, 60x zoom, and OIS support. The internal and external display features a 32MP selfie shooter under the punch-hole notch.
The connectivity options include dual SIM with dual 4G LTE and 5G (Dual-mode support), A-GPS, GPS, GLONASS, Wifi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and USB Type-C port. It also features an IR blaster, dual speakers, an X-axis linear motor, a glass back, and an IPX8 certification.
The Vivo X Fold5 will pack a 6000 mAh battery with 90W fast wired and 30W wireless charging support. It runs on Android 15 OS with Origin Ocean OS 5.0 on top. It will be 4.3 mm thick; when folded, it will be 9.33 mm thick.
