With a rather cryptic teaser, Samsung teased an “Ultra” foldable launching this summer. Samsung didn’t reveal much besides a GIF about the Galaxy Z Fold7 Ultra, but people are already stoked to get their hands on one. A new leak has dampened Samsung’s ultra-folding hopes.

According to Max Jambor, no Ultra model will be released this summer. While Samsung’s teaser suggests an Ultra version of the Galaxy Z Fold7, the leaker claims the “Ultra” version is just the standard version.

What exactly is Ultra about this upcoming Fold flagship? According to Max, “Ultra” in this context refers to upgrades in the camera, performance, thinness, and, unfortunately, the price.

The Galaxy Z Fold7 could feature a 200MP primary camera, up from 50MP on the Fold 6. The under-display camera has been improved, although the rest of the camera setup remains the same. As a performance upgrade, the device will include the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy.
