Even though it isn’t yet available, Samsung is giving us some information about the features we may anticipate from the One UI 8 Watch. Because it is included in a beta program, certain users will even have the opportunity to test these features before others do.
In a recent blog post, Samsung disclosed several new features that will be accessible when the One UI 8 Watch is released. These features include the Antioxidant Index, vascular load, Running Coach, and Bedtime Guidance. All these functions, except for Bedtime Guidance (Android 11 or later), require Android 10 or above and the Samsung Health app (v6.30.2 or later).
Bedtime Guidance:
Beginning with Bedtime Guidance, this function is intended to assist you in determining the best time to go to bed. Samsung says this tool examines sleep data from the previous three days, including sleep pressure and circadian rhythm, to make recommendations based on your lifestyle and sleep habits. The business notes that to ensure you receive enough sleep, Bedtime Guidance can also consider irregular sleep intervals, such as staying up later than intended or having inconsistent schedules.
Vascular load
Vascular load measures the strain that your vascular system experiences when you sleep. This tool delivers information on stress, sleep, and exercise and tracks the amount of stress on your vascular system. This feature requires a Galaxy Watch Ultra or a more recent smartwatch.
Antioxidant Index and Running Coach
We already know about Antioxidant Index and Running Coach because of earlier releases. To refresh your memory, Running Coach provides real-time instruction and inspiration while assisting you in training properly. Meanwhile, the Antioxidant Index measures your carotenoid (antioxidants found in green and orange fruits and vegetables) levels when you place your finger on the light-activated BioActive Sensor on the back of the device. A Galaxy Watch7 series or later is required for Running Coach, and a Galaxy Watch Ultra or later is required for Antioxidant Index.
Samsung intends to release the beta version of the One UI 8 Watch later this month. Users in Korea and the US who own a Galaxy Watch 5 series or later will be the only ones able to access the beta.
