HMD launched the Skyline smartphone last year with a Lumia-like design and Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor. The brand is reported to be working on a successor edition. A new leak also reveals the existence of a more powerful Skyline 2 GT alongside the Skyline 2.
HMD Skyline 2:
HMD Skyline 2 will sport a 6.55″ pOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC coupled with 8GB/12GB of RAM, and 128GB/256GB of storage. Surprisingly, the phone comes with a storage expansion option via a microSD card slot.
HMD Skyline 2 has a 108MP primary sensor coupled with a 13MP ultra-wide. It also has a new 50MP 2x telephoto camera with 4x zoom support. Within the punch-hole cutout is a 50MP camera for selfies. With its AI Capture Fusion, HMD maximises the detail in photos taken.
Moreover, it is dust—and splash-resistant, with an IP54 rating. The device ships with a 5000 mAh battery that supports 33W fast and 15W wireless charging.
The HMD Skyline 2 will also have an under-display fingerprint sensor and stereo speakers. It runs on Android 15 OS out of the box.
