With the iPhone 17, the screen diagonal will grow to 6.3 inches, making the iPhone 16 the last to use that size. DSCC founder and current Counterpoint Research vice president Ross Young, who has a solid track record with display-related rumours, now backs this rumour.

As a result, the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 15 would have the same display size, something we last saw with the iPhone 15 and 15 Pro. The iPhone 17 Pro will likely have superior screen specs, including ProMotion and higher peak brightness.

However, the remaining two iPhones in Apple’s upcoming 17 lineup will have different screen sizes. Apple’s rumored iPhone 17 Slim (or Air) will have a 6.6-inch display (smaller than the Plus’ 6.7-inch). As the biggest iPhone, the iPhone 17 Pro Max will retain its 6.9-inch screen.
