Vivo and Amazon India will soon launch a new camera-focused mid-ranger, the Vivo V50e. Its landing page is on vivo.com and amazon.in reveals its design and key features.

Despite their differences, the design of this phone is similar to that of the vivo S20. A quad-curved display is available only on the V50e (the S20 has a flat display).

The vivo V50e features a 50MP front-facing ultra-wide camera with 0.8x and 1.0x zoom modes (the wider mode is 106°, per the fine print). This phone includes a feature dubbed “Wedding Portrait Studio”, which applies fun filters and frames.

On the back, there is a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor (1/2″) with OIS. With 1x, 1.5x, and 2x modes for portrait shots, Vivo describes it as a “multi-focal camera.” There is also an Aura Light (Vivo’s ring light) and a 116° ultra-wide camera. Either the front or rear camera can record 4 K videos.

Regarding dust and water resistance, the V50e is rated IP68 and IP69, which is better than both S20 phones (both have IP64, the same as the V40e). It has survived 42,000 drop tests that simulate all kinds of scenarios, earning a Five-Star rating from SGS.
