A new S-series of smartphones from Vivo, which will replace the Vivo S20 and S20 Pro, which made their debut in December 2024, are anticipated to be unveiled in China in May. The company will release the successor to the S21 as the S30 series, according to a recent report.

According to a different rumor, the range might comprise a small smartphone and a conventional model. The Vivo X200 Pro Mini, which debuted last year for 4,699 Yuan (~$645), is reportedly more expensive than the latter. In a Weibo post published today, trustworthy tipster Digital Chat Station disclosed important information on what looks to be the Vivo S30 Pro Mini phone.

According to the source, “Pro Mini” might be part of the name of the S30 series’ little smartphone. Consequently, the device may be marketed under the Vivo S30 Pro Mini label.

The purported Vivo S30 Pro Mini is expected to feature a 6.31-inch flat screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a 1.5K resolution of 2640 x 1216 pixels, according to the leak. The tipster previously disclosed the device’s LTPO OLED display.

A new chip, the Dimensity 9400e, which is expected to debut next month, will power the device. According to the source, the D9400e would merely be a rebranded Dimensity 9300 Plus chipset. It will have a large battery under the hood that supports 90W quick charging.

The rumored S30 Pro Mini will sport a 50-megapixel selfie camera for taking pictures and making video calls. The back camera configuration will consist of a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens. As previously said, there are rumors that the Vivo S30 Pro Mini will make its debut in May.
