Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Galaxy Z Fold7 in early July. Despite constant changes in details, leaks are helping us get a better view of the new foldables. TechManiacs has released their latest report.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 is expected to be significantly thinner than its predecessor from 2024. According to previous information, it measures 4.5mm when unfolded and 9.5mm when folded. According to this latest report, it will be even thinner, only 8.2mm folded!
The Oppo Find N5 is only 8.9mm folded, allowing Samsung to leapfrog its competition here. The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition measures 10.6mm thick, so Samsung needs to improve this aspect significantly.
In any case, the Z Fold7 will have a 200MP main camera like the Special Edition, but it won’t offer an improved telephoto (3x 10MP) or ultra-wide (12MP).
It is expected that the inner display will increase to 8 inches from 7.6 inches on the Z Fold6. Cover display will increase from 6.3″ to 6.5″. They are the exact dimensions as the Special Edition.
With the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7, the cover display will grow from 3.4″ to almost 4″. According to the report, the Z Flip will also be thinner than its predecessor. Although the battery size increases from 4,000mAh to 4,300mAh, it will not speed up charging. Samsung won’t be upgrading the camera system to 200MP – it sounds like 50+12MP will be reused from the Z Flip6.
Both phones will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy. According to the report, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 is expected to receive a €100 price increase over its predecessor.
