New reports suggest the iPhone 17e’s debut date. The iPhone 16e was released last week, featuring an iPhone 14-like notch, A18 processor, and Apple Intelligence. It was introduced as a slightly cheaper iPhone 16 model. The phone replaced the 2022-deceased iPhone SE series.

CIRP experts predict the iPhone 17e will ship in February 2026, at the same time as the iPhone 16e. The standard iPhone 17 versions will launch later this year, maybe during the September event. The article suggests other ‘e’ series phones may be “part of the program going forward,” suggesting an annual launch cycle. Note that iPhone SE variants were not released yearly.

This plan will make it identical to Google’s Pixel ‘A’ variant, which comes months behind the conventional Pixel number series phones. Considering the iPhone 16e’s hardware, the successor may inherit some specs from the iPhone 17.

According to the CIRP research, which forecasts the iPhone 16e’s sales, the phone’s capabilities and feature hierarchy suggest it might sell better.
