Last year, Apple launched Apple Intelligence exclusively on its flagship devices, introducing features like ChatGPT integration, Genmoji, and Writing Tools. However, these AI capabilities were limited to users with an iPhone 16 or 15 Pro model, leaving many iOS users without access.

The good news is that the upcoming iPhone SE 4, also referred to as iPhone 16E, is set to support Apple Intelligence at a more affordable price point. According to Bloomberg, this will be the first iPhone SE model equipped with such advanced features, likely powered by an A17 Pro or A18 chip and at least 8GB of RAM. The features will include on-device text manipulation, photo clean-up tools, ChatGPT integration with Siri, image generation, and notification summaries, among others.

In addition, reports indicate that Apple Stores are beginning to see a decrease in stock of iPhone SE 3 units. With the price still at $429 in the US, the reduced inventory suggests an upcoming refresh. A new model announcement in March aligns with Apple’s typical release schedule.

The iPhone SE 4 is expected to bring significant hardware improvements. Anticipated upgrades include an edge-to-edge OLED screen, Face ID, a 48MP rear camera, and a redesigned exterior. Despite these enhancements, the new mid-range iPhone is expected to remain affordable, with a price unlikely to surpass $500.
