Under the Surface Series, Microsoft has announced the first Qualcomm Snapdragon X series laptops integrated with Copilot+. With a powerful processor, an all-day battery life, and AI-enabled features, the laptops are supposed to deliver the best performance on the market.

Surface Pro 11th Edition (2024)

Surface Pro features Snapdragon X Elite and Snapdragon X Plus processors, along with Qualcomm Hexagon NPU. With two USB 4 ports, it supports up to three external 4K displays and is 90% faster than the Surface Pro 9.

An optional 13-inch OLED display with HDR improves brightness and color. In addition to Wi-Fi 7, 5G connectivity is also available, as well as Bluetooth v5.4.

With a quad-HD front-facing camera and a 10MP Ultra HD rear-facing camera, the device supports 4K video recording.

You can choose between 16GB or 32GB LPDDR5x RAM, and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB removable Gen 4 SSD storage. Powered by a 39W power supply, it supports up to 65W of power. Speakers are 2W stereo with Dolby Atmos support.

Surface Pro’s motherboard and battery can be replaced, and 72% of its materials are recycled. Additionally, it has a kickstand that can be adjusted by 165 degrees.

The Surface Pro Flex Keyboard has a larger, customizable haptic touchpad and integrated pen storage, making it ideal for both attached and detached use. Surface Slim Pen features AI experiences, Zero Force inking, precise shading, and 4,096 pressure sensitivity points.

Surface Laptop 7th Edition (2024):

The new Surface Laptop features a PixelSense touchscreen display available in two sizes: 13.8 inches and 15 inches. There is a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR, Dolby Vision IQ, and Adaptive Color Technology on the display.

With Snapdragon X Plus and Snapdragon X Elite processors and Qualcomm Hexagon NPU, it is 86% faster than the Laptop 5. The laptop supports up to three external 4K monitors and has a battery life of up to 22 hours for the 15-inch model and 20 hours for the 13.8-inch model.

It is available with 16GB or 32GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of removable Gen 4 SSD storage. There is a 39W adapter for the 13.8-inch model and a 65W adapter for the 15-inch model.

In addition to the Full HD Surface Studio Camera, it also features an AI-enhanced sound system with Omnisonic Speakers and Dolby Atmos. The Optimised key travel and a precision haptic touchpad improved typing experience.

With Microsoft Pluton Security and Windows Hello Enhanced Sign-In, both Surface Pro and Surface Laptop offer enhanced security.

Additionally, they feature recycled aluminum alloy, recycled rare-earth magnets, and carbon-free electricity.

With a 78% reduction in carbon emissions, these devices contribute to Microsoft’s goal of becoming carbon negative by 2030.

Surface Pro 11th Edition is available in Black and Platinum, while Surface Laptop 7th Edition is available in Platinum, Black, Dune, and Sapphire.

The devices start at USD 999 (approx. Rs. 83,248), and are now available for pre-order at Microsoft.com. Starting June 18, they will be available at key retailers worldwide.
