Chinese smartphone maker Realme has launched the P-series exclusively for India. Flipkart will be the exclusive retailer of the series.

Realme Vice President, Chase Xu, announced the new product on X (formerly Twitter). As a mid-range smartphone manufacturer, Realme aims to make popular technology more accessible and offer a better user experience.

Designed specifically for young customers, the Realme P-series offers premium features at affordable prices.

ET Telecom reports that the P-series will be available in the Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000 price range, putting it above the budget-oriented C-series. According to reports, the company wants to sell 50 million P-series smartphones this year. Realme reportedly collaborated with Indian visual artist PS Rathor. Under the Realme P-series, you can expect visually stylish phones.

Despite aggressive competition in India’s smartphone market, Realme’s move is ambitious. In 2024, Realme will not offer just the P-series.

As Chase Xu revealed earlier this year, the company plans to revive the GT series. In contrast, Realme already sells its number series and C-series smartphones in the country. The P-series is exclusively manufactured in India by Realme, which employs Oppo’s Noida facility and a number of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

Realme P1 & Realme P1 Pro:

Realme officially revealed the key specs along with the launch date for the first-ever Realme P-series smartphone. Yes, the new Realme P-series will include two new smartphones with Realme P1 & Realme P1 Pro. Both devices are scheduled to launch in India on April 15 at 12PM IST.

The new Realme P1 will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC whereas the Realme P1 Pro with new Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC in India. The Realme P1 series will sport a curved display and features dual-rear cameras with LED flash. Further, both devices got IP65 rated making it dust and water-resistant. It also comes with 45W fast charge support and runs on Android 14 OS with 4 years of Android updates. The device will also features a larger VC chamber for smoother gaming.
