Samsung announced the Galaxy M55 in Brazil. While Galaxy M-series phones usually share similar specs with their Galaxy A-series counterparts, the M55 gets several changes, including a larger display, a different chipset, and faster charging.

Samsung Galaxy M55:

The Galaxy M55 5G sports a larger 6.7 inches FHD+ Super AMOLED+ display with 120Hz refresh rates. It comes with optical in-display fingerprint scanner support with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. The Galaxy M55 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC coupled with 8GB RAM and a 256GB storage option. There is also an option to expand the memory through a microSD card slot.

 

The new Galaxy M55 5G will feature triple-rear cameras with a 50MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture with OIS, 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture and LED flash. The device comes with a 50MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.2. With features like Nightography, Dual recording, and OIS and VDIS, you can record stable videos in 4K.

The Galaxy M55 5G will ship with the larger 5000 mAh battery but comes with 45W fast charge support. The device weighs just 180g & measures 7.8mm thick.

The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 5G, Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE support, Wifi 6.0, A-GPS, NFC, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C port, FM Radio, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Samsung Galaxy M55 5G runs on Android 14 with One UI 6.1 on top. There will be five generations of operating system updates and five years of security updates.

With its elegant design, the Galaxy M55 5G is available in Dark Blue and Green colors.

Pricing:

The new Galaxy M55 5G with 8GB+256GB costs 3,199 Brazilian Real (Rs.53,500/-). Samsung might soon launch the new Galaxy M55 5G in India next.
