In 2021, Nothing Tech launched Nothing Ear (1) followed by Ear Stick and Ear (2) a year later. Introducing the first teaser for the upcoming Nothing Ear (3), set to be the next generation of wireless earbuds from the brand. As the teaser video shows, the Ear (3) mascot leaps over a beetle, which was coincidentally the Ear (2) mascot.

There are still no details on the Nothing Ear (3), so we’ll have to wait for more teasers from Nothing. As with their predecessors, the new earbuds will retain a translucent appearance.

Like its predecessor, the Nothing Ear (2) features 11.6mm dual-chamber speakers. There will be a 6-hour playback time on the earbuds. With case, it will last up to 36 hours. You can charge it wirelessly with a Qi-compatible charger or through the USB-C port.

Hybrid ANC (active noise cancellation) will be used by Ear (2) to effectively reduce background noise upto 40db. It also comes with LHDC 5.0 support. The earbuds will weigh 4.5 grams each, which makes them slightly lighter than the Ear (1) earbud, which weighs 4.7 grams. Last but not least, the earbuds will be dust and water-resistant with an IP54 rating.

The Nothing Ear (2) is able to connect to two devices at once. Personalized ANC may also be available, giving users the ability to adjust the strength of the ANC to their liking. Additionally, the earbuds will feature an Advanced EQ, allowing users to customize their settings. It also features a low-latency mode for gamers. The device also gets IP54/IP55 rating making it dust and water-resistant.
