It’s not just Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series that will be the “smartest AI phones ever” – it just released its Galaxy Book4 series laptops that have a similar AI focus. Additionally, the new series offers better displays, faster charging, and plenty of processing power.

Galaxy Book4 Series:

The Galaxy Book 4 series includes three models: the Pro, the Pro 360 (convertible), and the top-of-the-line Ultra. Each of these laptops offers an AMOLED touchscreen with a 3K resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The 360 and Ultra models come with a generous 16-inch display, while the Pro offers both a 14-inch and 16-inch display.

With the Book4 series, there is no distinction – all three models have touch-capable Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays with new Vision Booster and anti-reflective technology for improved outdoor legibility. Galaxy Book4 Ultra comes in a single size, 16″, with a 2,880 x 1,800px display (16:10) and a variable refresh rate of 48-120Hz, and covers 120% of the DCI-P3 color space.

Powered by Intel’s latest Core Ultra processors, these notebooks offer AI-related Neural Processing Units (NPUs). A neural processing unit (NPU) is an important feature of Core Ultra, Intel’s first chip with NPU integration.

Intel Core Ultra 9 features a fast CPU, GPU, and NPU all in one package on the Galaxy Book4 series. Nvidia RTX 4070 (8GB) can also perform AI tasks, including image generation with Stable Diffusion and DLSS for gaming. You can also choose a Core Ultra 7 and an RTX 4050 (6GB).

Featuring an 11% wider vapor chamber and dual fans with uneven blade spacing, the new design improves cooling. You can choose from 16GB to 64GB of RAM (LPDDR5X) and 512GB, 1TB or 2TB SSDs with an expansion slot.

The Pro models will feature Intel Arc graphics, while the Ultra models will feature Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 or 4070 GPUs. Using the 140W adapter, Samsung can charge the 76Wh battery to 55% in just 30 minutes, which is 40% faster than the previous model.

AKG quad speakers support Dolby Atmos (2x 5W woofers and 2x 2W tweeters) on the laptops. Samsung describes the dual microphone array as “studio quality” with AI noise cancellation.

Features:

Samsung is also introducing new software features, such as cross-device video editing and photo remastering, to improve its ecosystem environment. With the Switch option, Galaxy Buds 2 Pro can be seamlessly connected to your phone. No worries, Knox has its own dedicated chip for security.
