Samsung has just launched the Galaxy M44 in its home market in South Korea. We’ll (hopefully) soon be seeing the Galaxy Jump 3 internationally as the M44 – the “M44” in the SM-M446KZKAKTC model number indicates that it’s an M44 under a different name.

Design:

As you’d expect from a Samsung mid-ranger in late 2023, there are three camera circle islands on the back and a circular LED flash between the topmost and middle cameras. It has a V-shaped or U-shaped notch (we can’t tell the difference) and a considerably thicker bottom bezel.

Specs:

The new Galaxy M44 5G will sport a 6.58-inch 1080×2408 PLS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. It is powered by an outdated flagship chip aka SD888 SoC coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage space. It measures 9.1mm thick and weighs 216g.

Samsung Galaxy M44 5G will feature triple-rear cameras with LED flash. The device will come with a 50MP main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture & OIS coupled with an 8MP ultra-wide unit with an f/2.2 aperture. Along with a 2MP macro-sensor with f/2.4 aperture & LED flash. There is a 13MP selfie shooter under the waterdrop notch.

The device will ship with the same 5000 mAh battery with 25W fast charge support. It runs on Android 13 OS with One UI 5.1 on top. It features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and IP67 rating making it dust and water-resistant.

The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 5G, Dual 4G LTE, and VoLTE support, Wifi 6.0, A-GPS, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C port, & FM Radio.
