The Galaxy S Plus phones have been the weakest link in the lineup for the last few generations. In comparison to the baseline Galaxy S, these phones generally offer a larger screen and a bigger battery.
With the upcoming Galaxy S24 Plus, Samsung should put an end to this trend. The display will be upgraded, as we already know. There have now been more details released about these changes.
Ice Universe first revealed the changes coming to the Galaxy S24 Plus. Here are a few more details from him.
The device will feature a 2K display, which he has already revealed. Samsung Display’s high-end M13 panel will be used in this QHD+ screen. The smartphone will have a thickness of 7.7 mm, he adds. In addition, 12GB of RAM will be included.
In most markets, Galaxy S models have been limited to 8GB RAM since 2019. Therefore, the inclusion of 12GB RAM will be greatly appreciated. While all the changes have been made, the Galaxy S24 Plus still pales in comparison to competitors in the same price range.
Regardless, it will be better than its predecessors. It will be interesting to see how the battery lasts and how the thermal performance fares.
The Galaxy S24 Plus is expected to be powered by the Exynos 2400 chip in most regions. By comparison, the Galaxy S23 Plus runs cooler and offers great endurance due to its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.
