The upcoming vivo X100 Pro may feature satellite messaging, according to a new report from leakster WhyLab. Vivo X100 Pro (V2309A model number) has recently been certified by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), and one of its more interesting features is two-way satellite messaging.

The X100 Pro will be able to transmit and receive texts, pictures, voice recordings, and even videos in areas without Wi-Fi or cellular coverage, according to the new report.

The new report claims that the X100 Pro will be equipped with MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300 chipset and Unisoc’s V8821 satellite chip. A 53MP 1/1.43″ main sensor has been reported for the X100 Pro in previous reports.

The main shooter will be coupled with a 50MP (IMX758) portrait lens with 2x optical zoom and a 64MP (OmniVision OV64B) periscope module.
