Google has finally launched the much-awaited flagship of this year with Pixel 8 series. The new Pixel 8 series looks a lot similar to its predecessor but comes with upgraded internals.

Pixel 8 Pro:

The new Google Pixel 8 Pro will sport a 6.7-inch QHD+ (2992 × 1344p) 1-120Hz refresh rate LTPO Samsung OLED flat punch-hole display. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection 2 & also gets HDR10+ support. Further whopping 2400 nits of peak brightness.

The new Google Pixel 8 Pro is powered by the new Tensor G3 SoC which comes with a Titan M2 security chip. It is coupled with 12GB RAM and 512GB/1TB storage options.

The Pixel 8 Pro features the same 50MP main Octa PD wide camera with f/1.68 aperture & 82-degrees FOV. It is coupled with a 48MP Quad PD ultra-wide shooter with an aperture f/1.95 & 125.5-degree FOV. Lastly, there is a 48MP Quad PD telephoto lens with an aperture of f/2.8, 5x optical zoom & 21.8-degrees FOV. The Pixel 8 Pro will feature a 10.5MP Dual PD selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.2 AF with a 4K video recording feature. There is also a temperature sensor this time.

The new Pixel 8 Pro will also feature IP68-rated dust and water resistance and also comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner. It also comes with Stereo speakers.

Although the Google Pixel 8 Pro will have a larger battery than its predecessor 5050mAh & comes with 27W fast wired charging and 23W/12W wireless charging support. It runs on the latest Android 14 OS out of the box.

The connectivity option includes Dual SIM, Wi-Fi 7, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.3, USB Type-C port, NFC, Dual SIM with 4G LTE, and 5G with mmWave support.

Pixel 8:

The new Google Pixel 8 will sport a 6.2-inch FHD+ (2400 × 1080p) 60-120Hz refresh rate OLED flat punch-hole display. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection & also gets HDR10+ support. Further, there is 2000 nits of peak brightness.

The new Google Pixel 8 is powered by the new Tensor G3 SoC which comes with a Titan M2 security chip. It is coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage options.

The new Google Pixel 8 will feature dual-rear cameras with a 50MP main Octa PD wide camera with f/1.68 aperture & 82-degrees FOV. It also supports Super Res Zoom up to 8x. There is a secondary 12MP ultra-wide shooter with f/2.2 aperture & 125.8-degree FOV.

The Pixel 8 will feature a 10.5MP Dual PD selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.2 FF with a 4K video recording feature.

Pricing:

The Google Pixel 8 will set you back with a price tag of Rs.75,999/- for 8GB+128GB & Rs.82,999/- for 8GB+256GB. The Pixel 8 Pro with 12GB+128GB at Rs.1,06,999/- in India. There is a flat Rs.8000/- off on ICIC/Axis/Kotak Bank credit cards plus an additional Rs.3000/- in exchange for an old smartphone. It goes on pre-orders right from Oct 5 at 12 AM. The device is available in Hazel, Obsidian, and Rose colors.
