In 2024, two versions of the Samsung Galaxy A15 will be available in Europe again. At least another year will pass before Samsung loses its affordable 4G smartphones.
The Galaxy range has almost completely disappeared from 4G connectivity since Samsung began releasing 5G handsets in 2020. Even so, Samsung continues to offer cheap smartphones. There will be two versions of the Samsung Galaxy A14 on the market this year – one with 5G and one without. In 2024, nothing seems to have changed in this area.
Samsung will also soon launch two versions of the Galaxy A15 in Europe. In a benchmark test a while ago, the 4G variant with model number SM-A155F appeared to be powered by MediaTek’s Helio G99 processor. SM-A156B will be the model number given to the 5G variant. Asia will see it as the SM-A156E and the US will see it as the SM-A156U.
The Galaxy A15 once again has a battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh. For quite some time, Samsung has been using that battery for their mid-range phones, and it provides great battery life. A15’s battery has a capacity of 4900 mAh, resulting in a capacity advertised as 5000 mAh.
We previously learned that the display has a diagonal of 6.4 inches. It is almost certainly another 90Hz TFT LCD panel. Despite the lack of details, it would not surprise us if the cameras we know from the Galaxy A14 models do not differ much. It is likely that we will once again see a 50MP main camera and a 13MP front camera. It depends on the exact model of how the others – macro and ultra-wide angle – are configured.
