There are already rumors about the iPhone 16 even before the dust settles on the iPhone 15 series launch. In this new report, popular tipster Digital Chat Station hints at some exciting features for the next generation.

Previously, it was speculated that the iPhone 16 series would have virtual solid-state buttons instead of physical ones. Ming-Chi Kuo previously predicted a similar feature for the iPhone 15 Pro.

According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 15 Pro models will retain physical buttons despite being expected to use two Taptic Engines to simulate button presses without physical movement. Apple is considering introducing virtual buttons in the iPhone 16 series, however.

It has been rumored that Apple is considering updating the screen refresh rates on its standard iPhone models, which traditionally feature a 60Hz refresh rate.

It is possible that the upcoming iPhone 16 might break this trend, possibly featuring a refresh rate of 90Hz or 120Hz. The upgrade would bring smoother visuals and improved display performance to the standard models.

Moreover, there may be an upgrade to the camera on the iPhone 16 Pro series. Based on speculations, the main camera will have a 48MP stacked super-large sensor and a 5X periscope telephoto lens. Dynamic Island and the overall design of the device should remain the same. It is also expected that the upcoming series will feature Wi-Fi 7.
