Despite Vivo’s commitment to camera performance, the iQOO flagship device lacks a telephoto camera with periscope lens. Digital Chat Station reports that this will change in the iQOO 12 Pro, along with a 64MP sensor.

According to the leakster on their Weibo profile, Vivo is working on a way to hide the OmniVision OV64B sensor behind the 5x zoom lens. A new 50 MP camera sensor is also expected, again by OmniVision – the OV50H. It measures 1/1.28″ and has 1.2m pixels.

As for the ultra-wide-angle camera, it could be the same 50 MP f/2.3 with 150-degree FoV and autofocus seen in the last three top-tier iQOO Pro phones.

A V3 ISP chip should also be included in the upcoming iQOO flagship, said the leakster. When the vivo X100 Pro series launches with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in early November, the iQOO 12 Pro should follow in the final months of the year.
