Apple has finally released the highly anticipated 15-inch MacBook Air. With 500 nits of brightness and 1 billion colors, the new Retina display measures 15.3 inches. A notch houses the 1080p camera, and the bezels around the screen are thin at 5mm.

This 15-inch Air is 11.5mm thin and weighs just 1.496kg. It will be available in four colors – midnight, starlight, space gray, and silver.

As with the 13-inch MacBook Air, the 15-inch MacBook Air includes an 8-core CPU (4 performance and 4 efficient cores), a 10-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine. It comes with 8GB of unified memory but can be configured up to 24GB. With the M2 chip, the 15-inch Air will last up to 18 hours.

The new 15-inch MacBook Air is 12x faster than the ‘fastest Intel-based MacBook Air’ and twice as fast as the ‘best-selling 15-inch PC laptop with a Core i7 processor’, according to Apple.

There are two USB-C Thunderbolt ports, a MagSafe charging port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack on the MacBook Air 15-inch. In addition to six speakers, the laptop has three microphones.

The 15-inch Air starts at Rs. 1,34,900/- ($1,199 for education). The first shipments will be made next week. Starting today, it will be available at apple.com/in/store, and in Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Resellers as of Tuesday, June 13.
