As per tradition, the Google Pixel 7a is expected to debut during the company’s annual I/O developer conference, which this year is on May 10. Now we have our first official teaser, which confirms that it will be available in Indian stores as well.

The device will be available on Flipkart on May 11, according to Google. That’s exactly one day after the device was supposed to be officially announced. It could be a pretty good deal if the price is right.

On May 10, Google will unveil the new Pixel 7a mid-ranger at I/O, which begins next week. Although we call it a “mid-range”, the phone is very similar to the flagship Pixel 7. Roland Quandt provided the following gist of those specs.

The new Google Pixel 7a will sport 6.1 inches FHD+ 90Hz refresh rate AMOLED flat punch-hole display. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The device also comes with HDR10+ support. It measures 8.7mm thick.

 

The new Google Pixel 7a is powered by the new Tensor G2 SoC which comes with a Titan M3 security chip. The phone comes with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB storage options.

 

The Google Pixel 7a comes with a 64MP main Sony IMX787 sensor with f/1.7 aperture coupled with 13MP ultra-wide shooter with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. Pixel 7a can shoot 4K videos at 60fps. The Pixel 7a comes with a 13MP selfie shooter.

The new Pixel 7a also comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner & Stereo speakers. The Pixel 7a packs a 4410 mAh battery with 18W fast wired charging also 5W wireless charging. It runs on the latest Android 13 OS out of the box. It also gets IP67 certified making it dust & water-resistant.

The connectivity option includes Dual SIM, Wifi-6E, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.2 LE, USB Type-C port, NFC, Dual SIM with 4G LTE, and 5G with mmWave support.
